Glen Remains Closed After Transformer Fire This story has been updated RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Power has been restored to homes on the west side of Ridgewood that had been without following a transformer fire, Ridgewood Police said Saturday morning. West Glen Avenue between Oak and North Monroe streets will remain closed, however, because of damage to the roadway, police said. A transformer fire at around 6 a.m. caused the blackout and road closure.

Patrolman Dinice Ends 31 Year Of Service To Ridgewood RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Ridgewood Patrolman Paul Dinice reported for his last tour of duty Tuesday, 31 years after he began his career with the department. Dinice began working in Ridgewood in 1984 and is a past president of PBA local 20. His father, Patrolman Anthony Dinice, served the Village from 1957 to 1981. Between the two, there has been an Officer Dinice on the Ridgewood Police Department for 57 years, the department said.  Dinice's son Anthony currently serves as a Ridgewood Firefighter.
