MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- James Mejury, of Midland Park, died Friday, Aug. 26. She was 74.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he lived in Prospect Park before moving to Midland Park 47 years ago.
He was the owner and operator of James Mejury Painting and Paper Hanging of Midland Park. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Carol Ann (Matthews) Mejury; four children, Karen and her husband John Mone of Concord, Mas.., Andrew and his wife Marisa O’Brien of Los Angeles, Janice and her husband Edward Bosland of Lincoln, Neb. and Elaine and her husband Ron Mazurek of Midland Park; 11 grandchildren, Isabelle, Sophie, Edward, Ethan, Georgia, Eamon, Colette, Mollie, Hazel, Eoin and Maggie; sister, Agnes Sydney of Australia; and many nieces and nephews in Scotland, England, Australia and the USA.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Westside Presbyterian Church, 6 S. Monroe St., Ridgewood. A private cremation will be conducted.
