Waldrick Explosion Site Cleanup Completed

NORTHERN HIGHLANDS, N.J. -- The aftermath of a large explosion at a PSE&G substation in Waldrick in September has been cleaned up, according to NorthJersey.com.

Waldrick Mayor Thomas Giordano confirmed the Waldrick Fire Department completed the cleanup at the Hopper Avenue site of the explosion that occurred during a nighttime fire drill Sept. 14, said NorthJersey.com.

The explosion was caused by a malfunction of one of the transformers in the substation, PSE&G officials told NorthJersey.com.
