HO-HO-KUS, N.J. -- The Hermitage is hosting a community garage sale on Saturday, June 4, and organizers are seeking both sellers and item donations.
It's an opportunity to clear out unwanted items -- and benefit historic preservation and education. The Hermitage is accepting donated items that are clean and in good shape, and no heavy or very large items. Donated items will be sold at the sale and all proceeds will go toward the maintenance of the historic Hermitage.
Such items can be dropped off until Wednesday, June 1, at the museum. It's open from Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All unsold items will be donated to charity.
The fee for private sellers is $25, for a 10-by-10-foot space. Sellers can also rent tables for $15 apiece. Return this form by Monday, May 30.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 5. The museum is located at 335 North Franklin Turnpike, in Ho-Ho-Kus. For more information, call 201-445-8311, ext. 102.
