MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- Approximately 40 people participated in the Special Olympics Polar Bear plunge in Seaside Heights to honor borough police officer Christopher Birch's commitment to the cause on Feb. 20, according to NorthJersey.com.
Members of the Midland Park community helped raise funds for the Special Olympics in honor of Christopher Birch.
Photo Credit: Oakland Memorial HomeBirch, who was known as an active supporter of the Special Olympics, was killed in an off-duty ATV accident in July. The Birch family also set up a GoFundMe page that raised more than $11,000 for Special Olympics, NorthJersey.com reported.
