Now, as the president of his hometown's baseball/softball association, the former Warrior outfielder/pitcher is paying it forward with the first-ever Spring Training baseball camp.

"I love coaching the boys," DeMenna, who will be inducted into Waldwick High School's inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame on April 7, told Daily Voice. "Each coach helped mold me into the coach and person I am today. I'm hoping to pass a little of that to the kids I coach."

The four-day camp, which starts April 11, will run from 9 a.m.– 2 p.m. at Waldwick Borough Park.

There will be instruction to start the day, and games to finish off, DeMenna said.

High school coaches from Waldwick, St. Joseph Regional and Bergen Catholic will serve as guest instructors.

The camp is open to kids in first through eighth grade.
