The tournament was founded in 2013 as a tribute to D'Augustine, who was killed while on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, NorthJersey.com reported.

D'Augustine wrestled all four years while a student at Waldwick High School before joining the Marines, NorthJersey.com reported.

Roselle Park High School defeated Cresskill High School in the tournament's final, while Ramapo High School placed third, according to NorthJersey.com.

The money raised will benefit the Staff Sergeant Joseph D'Augustine Memorial Fund, NorthJersey.com said.
