SADDLE RIVER, N.J. – Pre-K registration for the 2016-17 school year is now open for Saddle River’s Wandell School.

Two programs are available. The Pre-K 3 program, for a child who attains the age of 3 by Oct. 1, 2016, meets from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Pre-K 4 program is a full day class for children who attain the age of 4 by Oct. 1, 2016. This program meets Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

The curriculum for both programs is aligned to the New Jersey Department of Education’s Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards. It encompasses many areas, including social, physical, language and cognitive development. At Wandell, children are encouraged to learn through play, hands-on experiences and interaction with peers and adults. The Wandell preschool program is an inclusive program designed to serve Saddle River’s children with special needs as well as general education students.

Priority is given to Saddle River residents, but non-residents are welcome and encouraged to apply and attend. Class size is limited and early registration is encouraged. Yearly tuition for residents and non-residents is $7,210 for the Pre-K 3 program and $8,750 for the Pre-K 4 program.

For registration information or to observe a program, call 201-327-0727. An open house will be held on Monday and Thursday, Feb. 4 from 9-10:30 a.m.

Wandell School is at 97 E. Allendale Road.
