ALLENDALE, N.J. -- Having out-sung the competition year after year after year, the Voices from Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale will shoot for another distinction when they take on another supergroup -- this one from South Jersey -- on Lifetime TV's "Pitch Slapped."

What began with "Glee," and then "The Sing-Off" and "Pitch Perfect," has morphed into the new reality show, which pits the Bergen County crew against Stay Tuned from Cherry Hill High School East in Camden County, starting Jan. 5.

The Northern Highlands squad won the International Championship of High School A Cappella competition in 2014 after topping Stay Tuned the year before.

Diana Preisler, the leader and manager of the a cappella group Blue Jupiter, will coach the Voices. Broadway veteran Deke Sharon, the vocal arranger of "Pitch Perfect" and its sequel, handles Stay Tuned.
