ALLENDALE, N.J. — Starting in April, two staffers at Northern Highlands Regional High School will be able to administer a life-saving opioid antidote on school grounds, NorthJersey.com reports.

Both the nurse and athletic director will be trained by the county to administer naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, the story says.

The move is part of an opioid antidote policy passed by the district board of education Monday, according to NorthJersey.com.
