UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Fire and EMS volunteers are needed in Upper Saddle River.

Consider volunteering with the fire or EMS if,

  • You're an action-oriented person who enjoys an adrenaline rush
  • You who need something beyond being a "desk jockey"
  • Want to be part of a rewarding community service that can help save people's lives

Without volunteers, departments like Upper Saddle River's couldn't exist.

All training is provided and you'll make bonds with people that will last a lifetime.

The Upper Saddle River Volunteer Fire Department has approximately 50 volunteer members responding to about 350 calls for service annually. Service is provided 24 hour hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides 24 hour emergency medical services, 365 days a year.

The Ambulance Corps has paid EMTs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteers serve weekends and holidays in addition to Monday through Friday, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Each volunteer crew serves one night per week and rotates through weekend shifts to man the two ambulances owned by the corps.
