UPDATE: The Bergen County Police Department Bomb Squad gave the all-clear at Carlo’s Bake Shop in Ridgewood, owned by TV’s “The Cake Boss,” at 12:43 p.m., following a bomb threat more than an hour earlier.
Police shut down Wilsey Square and diverted traffic at Broad and Franklin, West Ridgewood and Monroe and Monroe and Godwin. Several sidewalks were also closed, as was a nearby pedestrian underpass. Buildings in the immediate were evacuated.
Because of the proximity to railroad tracks, NJ Transit was notified, Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .

“A lot of resources go into this, including the work of other departments,” Ward said. “We’ll be following up to find out who was responsible.”
A Bergen County Police K9 team scoured the scene.
BCPD Chief Brian Higgins responded, as well ( photo, below ).
Ridgewood firefighters and EMS crews were placed on standby.
Ridgewood Emergency Services units, along with Midland Park police, assisted with traffic control.
