Officers Gil Maynard, Anthony Mordaga and Timothy Reed extinguished the fire, broke the side windows of the black 2015 Nisan Altima and pulled a dazed Andrew Ishak, 28, from the wreck just after midnight, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by Paramus EMS with moderate injuries including lacerations and abrasions, the chief said.

Electrical wires came down and guide wires snapped and crashed through the front window of the Lighting Superstar store, he added.

The highway’s right lane will remain closed until tomorrow while a PSE&G crew handles repairs, Ehrenberg said.
