YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Investigators found child pornography on the computers of both a 19-year-old Midland Park man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl and his father, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon in announcing their arrests.

While arresting James Stoldt on sexual assault and child endangerment charges yesterday, investigators seized computer equipment found in the Busteed Drive home that he shares with his father, 57-year-old Richard Stoldt, and mother, the prosecutor said.

“Computer media used by each, separate and distinct from one another, were found to contain images depicting the sexual exploitation of children,” Molinelli said.

So the detectives arrested Richard Stoldt, as well, he said.

The elder Stoldt, who as a software engineer, was issued a summons and released without bail pending arraignment tomorrow.

James Stoldt, meanwhile, was being held on $125,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

He and his father are charged with possession of images depicting the sexual exploitation of children — a term prosecutors recently have said they prefer to “child pornography.”

The younger Stoldt, who is single and unemployed, was arrested after the girl, now 14, “disclosed to a friend what had taken place,” Molinelli said this afternoon.

That person called one of his detectives, the prosecutor said, and arrangements were made for her to meet with investigators from his Special Victims Unit and Midland Park police.

During an interview this past Friday, “the victim provided specific details regarding what had occurred,” Molinelli said. An arrest warrant was then drawn up.
