Family Tradition: Popular 27-Year Mahwah Police Veteran Retires

MAHWAH, N.J. -- He comes from a family with well over a century of combined law enforcement experience -- more than a quarter of which retiring Mahwah Detective Gerald Falotico Jr. dedicated to township residents and merchants.

Falotico, who's a councilman in Emerson, served in the Mahwah Police Department's Juvenile Bureau and several terms times was PBA president during his 27-year-old township career.

His father, Gerald Falotico Sr., served 38 years with the Emerson Police Department.

Othre relatives include Thomas Falotico, who retired from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Sgt. Richard Falotico, who's dedicated 23 years to the Ramsey Police Department, and Dennis Falatico, who served 36 years with the Emerson Police Department.
