The run will be launched at 10 a.m., although on other days it will be open from sunup to sundown.

It features split areas for dogs under 25 pounds and larger canines, as well as a waste station with blue pickup bags and a pair of benches.

The morning launch is considered a “soft” opening versus a much larger event to be scheduled during a Saturday in July, when Bergen County officials will tout other new features of the county park, as well.

The run joins similar spaces at county parks in Leonia (Henry Hoebel Area, Fort Lee Road), Lyndhurst (Riverside County Park), Ridgewood (Saddle River Wild Duck Pond Area), Wallington (Sam Nelkin Park, Rose Street) and Woodcliff Lake (Wood Dale Park, Prospect Avenue).

County workers recently put the finishing touches on the Paramus run, including adding more stone-dust material.

A canine water fountain is in the works (no pun intended). See photo, above, for rules and regulations.

The run is located at the back of parking lot P4, which is the first lot after you pass the turn to the lake.
