Body Of Harrington Park Man, 62, Found In Backyard Fire Pit

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. (UPDATE): The death of a 62-year-old Harrington Park man whose body was found in a backyard fire pit wasn't suspicious, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Tuesday.

The Bergen County Sheriff's BCI joined the county Medical Examiner, prosecutor's detectives and borough police at the scene.

MONDAY's STORY:

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. -- The body of a 62-year-old Harrington Park man was discovered Monday afternoon in a backyard fire pit.

Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office joined local police and the county Medical Examiner at the Harriot Avenue home just before 1 p.m.

The county sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence, although a law enforcement official told Daily Voice the circumstances weren't suspicious.

Police closed surrounding street, said parents who were trying to pick up their children from the Harrington Park Elementary School.
