MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- Joseph Kaczyk, a Midland Park resident, died Saturday, Sept. 12. He was 79.
He was born in Passaic and had been a resident of Midland Park for many years.
Kaczyk served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Midland Park and prior to his retirement in 1997, as a chemical operator for Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley.
Kaczyk is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara (VanDerHorn) of Midland Park and his seven sisters; Rose Becker of California, Laura Beeson of Port Arthur, Texas, Matilda Shmegelski of Cedar Grove., Mary Ann Roth of Saddle Brook, Cecelia Duffy of Sparta, Joan Abdenour of Las Vegas, Nev. and Irene (Dennis) Jacobi of East Stroudsberg, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by the interment in Hackensack Cemetery.
