Janet DeCesare, 92, Formerly Of Upper Saddle River

BARNEGAT, N.J. – Janet DeCesare, of Barnegat and formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Sunday, Jan. 17. She was 92.

She will be remembered for her devotion to family and home. She was known as a skillful Italian cook and a faithful friend. She enjoyed reading, shopping, dominoes and time with relatives and friends.

She was the wife of the late Larry DeCesare, mother of Denise Nicolosi of Oakland, and Joan Swartz and husband, Kenneth, of Brooklyn, Conn.; grandmother of Jessica, Matthew, Suzanne, Michael, Christopher and Kristen; great-grandmother of Blythe, Rosie, Natalia and Bennett; sister of the late Michael Panzera and the late Lena Farina; and aunt to six nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at The Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 787 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes. Please arrive at the church by 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
