WALDWICK, N.J. – Elena Trifilio, a resident of Waldwick, died Friday, April 22. She was 95.
She was born in Argentina, raised in Italy and moved to Waldwick in 1959.
She worked as an assistant seamstress in Paterson for many years and later worked at General Packaging in Waldwick. She also was a parishioner at St. Luke’s and enjoyed spending time at the Christian Adult Day Care service in Wyckoff.
She is survived by her children, Concettina Cacciola and her husband Francesco, and the late Dominic Trifilio; daughter-in-law, Santina Trifilio; grandchildren, Anthony Cacciola and his wife Anna, Elena Borrero, Isabella Stempler and her husband Rick, Vincenzo Trifilio; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Francesco Cacciola, Brooke and Julia Stempler, and Vincenzo Trifilio; Maria Gagliano and Piarina Magurno; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vincenzo Trifilio; and siblings, Livia DeMarco, Rosa Trifilio, Frank Torrano, and Dominic Torrano.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Christian Adult Day Care Service, 301 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
