WALDWICK, N.J. -- PSE&G will begin underground construction on the PSE&G and public rights-of-way in Waldwick bright and early on Monday, March 14.
The construction is part of the utility's transmission upgrade initiative, to ensure reliable electric service in the Borough of Waldwick, as well as surrounding communities.
Underground construction activities are expected to begin on Monday and finished in May. Work will run from approximately 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, as well as some Saturdays. This work will include installing manholes and underground pipe.
These are the anticipated work locations:
- Hopper Avenue between Alexander Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue,
- Wyckoff Avenue between Hopper Avenue and Monroe Street,
- Monroe Street between Wyckoff Avenue and Evergreen Street, and
- Evergreen Street between Monroe Street and Hemlock Street.
PSE&G will be working with the borough's police department to minimize traffic concerns and inconvenience to the public. PSE&G asks that residents try to avoid the construction work zones.
