Navy Submarine Redesigned To Accommodate Women Headed To New Jersey First

The U.S. Navy is designing what will be its first submarine that accommodates women specifically — and it's headed to New Jersey, according to multiple reports.

The vessel will boast more doors and bathrooms to give women more privacy, along with other subtle modifications.

In 2010, the Navy lifted its ban on females on submarines. There has since been a rise in women in the Navy, which is what sparked the change to the submarines, several sources are saying.
