Crews were investigating water bubbling up through a manhole at Glen and Woodside avenues when the hole -- about six feet deep and 20-by-30-feet around -- opened.

Neither of two DPW workers in the truck were injured, officials said.

Residents were briefly left unable to come or go after police closed the road. The truck was left in the hole to mitigate any further damage.

A temporary gravel roadway will have to run through local properties so resident can get in and out, officials said.
