MIDLAND PARK, N.J..– A Midland Park sewer line that was spilling into the waterway prompted a health advisory for the entire Passaic County Park brook.
Hawthorne officials requested that everyone, including pets, remain out of the water until further notice.
The sewer break in Midland Park is a Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority (NBCUA) owned system, Hawthorne officials said. The NBCUA is mediating and working to correct this issue, they said.
