NORTHERN HIGHLANDS, N.J. -- The Allendale Council is seeking a Bergen Community Grant to help fund community development projects, according to NorthJersey.com.
The grants, offered through the Bergen County Community Development program, in the amount $40,000 would help the city complete the second phase of the Crestwood Park bathroom improvements, bringing them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, said NorthJersey.com.
The city recently used open space grants for other upgrades at the park including paying for the refurbishing of two tennis courts and installing a sport court flooring over the remaining tennis courts, added NorthJersey.com.
Allandale also hopes to receive a $46,000 community development grant which would be used to purchase back-up generators for its firehouse, said NewJersey.com
