Each year, Ralph DeWeil pulls down the attic door and unleashes the Christmas decorations that the whole DeWeil family will assemble all over the house — literally.
It's a tradition that started when he was a kid and has grown larger ever since. DeWeil sets the lights to music and recently helped a Demarest teen make a display honoring his late mother.
But why does he do it year after year? It's simple.
"I love to make people of all ages ... smile, laugh and maybe even sing a little," DeWeil said on his website.
"Or just brighten their day in some way, to share a small moment in time that would bring any adult back to that time of being a kid again."
Christmas on Manhattan is located at 137 Manhattan Ave.
