MIDLAND PARK, N.J. — Dana and Kyle Swensen of Midland Park say this past New Year's Eve was their best yet.
The couple, formerly of Hackensack, welcomed baby girl Milan Evee Belle Swensen to the family at 12:04 a.m., at Hackensack University Medical Center.
The 6-pound, 0.7-ounce baby was the first baby born in Bergen County, and the first girl in New Jersey, hospital officials said.
Dana said it was surreal to be pushing as the ball dropped, and then her baby was born.
The Swensen baby joins brothers Jalen, 6, and Kamden, 18 months.
Paterson's Natasha Pena and Jeffry Tupete welcomed baby Noah Jeffry Tupete, the first baby of 2017 to be born at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.
Baby Noah was born at 12:51 a.m., at 7 pounds and 11 ounces. He joins his sister, Kiara Tupete, 4.
Fairview parents Jackeline Castellanos and Jaime Perez-Guerra welcomed baby Jameson Ryan Perez Castellanos 6:35 a.m., NorthJersey.com reports.
Baby Castellanos was the first baby born in 2017 at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
