HO-HO-KUS, N.J. — A dog and cat census is underway in the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus and residents are reminded that pets must be licensed by Monday, Feb. 29.
According to Ho-Ho-Kus Code, any person who owns, keeps or harbors a dog or cat of licensing age, must apply for a license from the borough every year. Failure to do so can result in a summons.
If a summons is issued, there is a mandatory court appearance, a $100 fine, plus court costs. There will be no exceptions.
A license can be obtained in person at the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, 333 Warren Ave. Renewals may be mailed in with a copy of rabies certificate.
