Studio owner and instructor Christine Zaccardi told Daily Voice that adults are certainly welcome, as well, to accompany little ones and work on their own technique.

Daily Voice profiled Zaccardi and her studio back in June. She offers classes and portfolio development help, as well as an art summer camp.

"It's a fun day, exploring new art techniques in fine art and sculpture," Zaccardi said.

The classes not only provide a safe atmosphere for kids but also provides a bit of culture, with education on different artists and time periods, as well as on techniques.

"It's not just keeping them busy but really helping them learn -- and they'll have a masterpiece of their own to show off, at the end of the class."

On each day, there will be a sculpture class from 10 a.m. to noon, lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and a painting class from 1-3 p.m.

People are welcome to do either a half day, for $50, or the full day, for $100. If you'll be there for the full day, bring a lunch or lunch money.

The Drawing Room also plans on having sessions when schools are closed for Christmas, but those details are forthcoming.

The studio is located at 27 Central Ave., in Midland Park. For more information, visit the studio's website or Facebook page, or call 201-447-7272.
