WALDWICK, N.J. – Small Business Saturday returns to Waldwick on Nov. 28.
The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce encourages all area businesses to offer special discounts to consumers on Small Business Saturday to entice them to “shop small, shop local.”
“Shoppers are choosing online for their needs more today than ever before,” said chamber President Michele Calise of Pascack Community Bank. “We want to impress upon our local community that small businesses are an integral part of their day-to-day life.
"Small business owners and their employees give back by donating to local charities, civic organizations and efforts such as sports team sponsorships and tricky tray donations," Calise said. "The business owners need support from residents to ensure they can continue to support these initiatives as they have for many years.”
Calise and Jim Zumbano, of Plaza Jewelers in Waldwick, invite all businesses – members of the chamber or not – to participate.
In order to maximize the effort, area business owners should register their business in the American Express Shop Small Business initiative on or before Monday.
