SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Saddle River office of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty again gathered a "mountain of toys" in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

The office’s staff and agents collected new, unwrapped toys, that were distributed to children at the Hackensack Medical Center, as well as local families in need.

"For ten years our office has held Toys for Tots, and each year I continue to be overjoyed with the amount of dedication shown by the agents and the mountain of toys recreated every time in our conference room,” said Douglas McLean, the broker who started the program at his office nearly a decade ago. “It is wonderful to work with a team of colleagues who enjoy giving back so much to this community.”

Daniel Weixeldorfer, senior vice president and broker at Prominent Properties, said the fundraiser has a special meaning for him. Both of his parents were Marines.

“When I took over managing the Saddle River Regional office four years ago, I was excited to see that Douglas had the Toys for Tots drive in place and I could just continue building it each year with his help and the help of all the agents,” Weixeldorfer said.

In November, the office also had success with its annual food drive. It collected more than 40,000 pounds of food for the Center for Food Action in Mahwah.
