ALLENDALE, N.J. — Saturday is the final day to shop the wares of local merchants at Mistletoe Madness, a holiday boutique set up at the historic John Fell House in Allendale.

The third annual event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Rooms of the historic landmark, festooned by local nurseries and garden clubs, are laden with tables of creative merchandise.

Some of the many vendors include The Girls With the Pearl Earrings of Allendale, Olive Branch and Grape Vine of Westwood, and Cocoa Lush of Upper Saddle River.

Twenty percent of sales benefit the former home of John Fell, a judge and statesman who went on to ratify the Constitution as a member of the First Continental Congress.

On Sunday, the John Fell House will holds its Annual Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The open house includes crafts for kids and cider and treats for everyone.

At noon Allendale Mayor Liz White will read to children, followed by entertainment and carols at 12:30 p.m. and storytime with Stiles Thomas and Ginny Jones at 2 p.m.

The John Fell House is at 475 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale.
