MAHWAH, N.J. -- Mahwah Museum trustee Diane Mateo will present a gallery talk about the boroughs of Saddle River and Upper Saddle River Sunday, April 17 in the upstairs gallery of the museum.

The talk will cover the boroughs of Saddle River and Upper Saddle River, their formation from Hohokus Township and some of the reasons they decided to break away from the township.

The discussion will include the early histories of the communities and the story of their growth and development. Mills, industries, and their farming past will be discussed, as well as the growth of their school districts and the transformation of each into the boroughs we know today.
