SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Bruce Moehler from Eversight recently visited the Saddle River to thank them for their efforts.
“Eversight’s vision for the future is to expand our reach, connect more effectively with our communities and provide a life full of sight to anyone in need," Moehler said at the event. “Last year Eversight helped 6971 people receive a second chance at sight through corneal transplantation, 461 of whom were New Jersey residents.”
Eversight is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of sight through transplantation, research, education and partnership.
“Donating corneas at the end of one’s life can give a blind person a second chance at life,” Saddle River Lions Club President Jim Murphy said. “What could be a more meaningful gift to another human being?”
