Celebrate Christmas, Colonial Style, In Upper Saddle River

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Upper Saddle River Historical Society and Hopper-Goetschius House Museum will host a Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 1-4 p.m.

Guests can enjoy chestnuts roasting on an open fire,  cider and homemade cookies and a visit with Santa in the barn. People are asked to bring canned goods to give to the needy.

In the school house children may listen to a reading of "Twas the Night before Christmas," at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Special prizes twill include a Gingerbread House, fabulous gift baskets and more. Talented crafters will be demonstrating throughout the house.
