The start location is Northern Highlands Regional High School, 298 Hillside Ave, Allendale and cost is $15 for people who register by Nov. 18. Register here.

This year's run is a DECA Community Service Project organized by Dylan Kossar, Paige Mezzatesta and Alex Pirsos of Northern Highlands Regional High School.

Kossar has a strong, yet unfortunate connection to the cause. In 2004, his brother Ryan fell victim to SIDS. This run is in honor of not only him, but the 2,200-plus infants who pass each year.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the run will be held from 10-12 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to wear purple and green to show support for SIDS. Shirts will also be available for purchase.

Prizes will be awarded to the most spirited, the fastest runners, and the participants who raise the most money.

All ages are welcome to attend or donate to the cause.
